Toyota Zambia handed over aluminium scrap worth £43000 to the Chazanga Aluminium Recycling Entrepreneurs (CRE).
This will go towards the development of a local project where residents recycle the aluminium scrap to manufacture pots which are then later sold.
"We would love to grow together with the community in way of improving livelihood," said Toyota Zambia's Corporate Affairs Manager Gilbert Mfuya at the handover ceremony earlier this month.
The recycling of aluminium products ensures that the metal can change its use over and over again and still retain its qualities.
